When I first visited your blog, I liked the concept of your blog posts. It is very well portrayed as well as depicted. http://bollywoodgaane.com/

Learning empathy is so important. I appreciate the suggestions that you offer for developing those skills with students. They should be given opportunities to disagree with their classmates and even their friends in a safe way. However, I disagree that conflict resolution should be a part of any bullying program. Bullying is a form of abuse, not of conflict. It would be unproductive to have an abuser and a victim sit face to face and work out their disagreements, because ultimately it's not an issue of conflict. It's one of power.

Great video by Jacob Caggiano! For more of his work, see http://wanewscouncil.org. Be sure to watch the video that explains the Washington News Council's work. He's our communications strategist, and we're lucky to have him. We met at the Journalism That Matters gathering in Seattle in January 2010, and I hired him to help redesign our website. Wait until you see our new Online Media Guide (OMG) that he's put together for Washington state. Coming soon!

Thank you Amy for the post. I was at this JTM Biblionews conference in Boston and the journalist-library conversations are long overdue. This conference helped reframe how we approach information seeking in the digital age. There are so many new players and new skill sets. Librarians are in a prime position to open and capture information across all media, while journalists can help make sense of the data. What's best, the service comes from a public institution.
