FCC’s Waldman to Talk Media Policy at New America Foundation
Steve Waldman, the Senior Advisor to the Chairman of the FCC, will join noted journalists Michael Kinsley and Steve Coll to talk media policy on Thursday, February 25, at the New America Foundation. Tom Glaisyer, NAF’s Knight Media Policy Fellow, will moderate. Waldman is leading the Future of Media initiative at the FCC to examine the state of U.S. media and media policy choices that lay ahead. He will issue a report later this year with recommendations for changes in media policy at the FCC, at a minimum, and possibly policy choices for other governmental entities to consider as well.
The conversation, “Shaping Media Policy for the 21st Century,” will take place at the New America Foundation’s Washington, D.C. office at 1899 L Street, NW, Suite 400, from 2:00-3:30 pm. Registration details are available on NAF’s website.
